The
rowyo
demo may be downloaded for evaluation purposes by clicking on the
appropriate link below. The demo has some limitations which of course
are fully functional in the 'full' version:
- The
program will time out periodically
- Only
the supplied predefined Workouts can be loaded
- Editor
Save is disabled.
Please
Read the following before downloading:
RowYo
uses a .MSI Windows Installer file.
Windows
ME, 2000 and XP have built-in MSI support.
Users
of Windows NT 4.0, 95 and 98 must download Windows Installer,
if it has not already been installed by another product's installation.
If
you are unsure if Windows Installer is present, then run the MSIEXEC
command from the Start, Run dialog.
If present, it will report "Incorrect command line parameters"
and tell you its version number.
If
you do not have Windows Installer, please download the RowYo version
with the installer which will extract the files to a folder on
your desktop. Then run the Setup file within which will install
Windows Installer as required.

System
Requirements
rowyo
will run on most windows PC's with processors running at 133MHz
upwards. However, rowyo
is precision timing software and needs a certain amount of CPU power
at all times to function smoothly. If you experience any timing
'stutters' (particularly on lower spec/older PC's) it is advisable
to avoid running other software at the same time which may place
demands on the CPU. Such software may include audio or video playback
software, e-mail or other Internet client software etc.
You
may wish to run rowyo
in conjunction with other monitoring software such as E-Row
for Concept 2, RowH2O
for WaterRower or other monitoring software. As rowyo
is a 'timing critical' program (as may be the monitor software),
it is again possible that timing issues may arise which affect either
rowyo
and/or the other software. Again, such problems (if at all) are
likely to be confined to older/slower PC's.
